Coal India surges on reporting 8.9% rise in coal production during June 2024
Coal India is currently trading at Rs. 482.55, up by 7.75 points or 1.63% from its previous closing of Rs. 474.80 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 478.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 484.95 and Rs. 476.05 respectively. So far 339393 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 527.20 on 03-Jun-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 226.10 on 21-Aug-2023.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 484.95 and Rs. 461.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 297536.52 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.13%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.71% and 5.16% respectively.
Coal India has reported 8.9% rise in coal production to 63.1 million tonnes (MT) during June 2024 as compared to 58.0 MT in June 2023. It produced 189.3 MT of coal during April- June period, up 7.9% from 175.5 million tons during the same period previous year.
In June 2024, Coal offtake increased to 64.1 MT from 60.8 MT. The total offtake of coal during the April- June period increased to 197.0 MT, up 5% from 186.8 MT in the corresponding period last fiscal.
