CM Saha shares experience of celebrating Maha Ashtami with tribals
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha spoke with ANI during the Maha Ashtami celebrations, sharing that he visited tribal areas and engaged with the local residents. He mentioned that the locals have been celebrating the festival for the past 30 years, although the festivities were temporarily disrupted due to militancy in the region.
“We always say that it is Bengali's Puja but today I went to the tribal area in the morning, I visited at least 8-10 places in the tribal area and asked there that for how long have you people been worshipping, someone is saying I have been doing it for 30 years, someone is saying for 8 years...So today for the first time in my life I went to the tribal area and I got such a good good luck”, said Manik Saha.
