Cipla surges despite reporting 39% fall in Q1 consolidated net profit

Cipla is currently trading at Rs. 1423.10, up by 29.35 points or 2.11% from its previous closing of Rs. 1393.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1381.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1444.40 and Rs. 1381.60 respectively. So far 92862 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1672.20 on 23-Oct-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1165.55 on 02-Apr-2026.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1466.00 and Rs. 1366.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 114714.03 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 29.21%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 54.83% and 15.95% respectively.

Cipla has reported a 33.84% decline in its net profit at Rs 862.16 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1FY27), as compared to Rs 1,303.13 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income increased by 0.06% to Rs 5,320.43 crore for Q1FY27 as compared to Rs 5,317.24 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

On a consolidated basis, the company has reported a 39.19% decline in its net profit at Rs 789.05 crore for Q1FY27, as compared to Rs 1,297.62 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income increased by 1.58% to Rs 7,330.18 crore for Q1FY27 as compared to Rs 7,216.03 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
