Cipla gains on launching drone-powered critical medicine delivery in Himachal Pradesh
Cipla is currently trading at Rs. 1175.95, up by 12.15 points or 1.04% from its previous closing of Rs. 1163.80 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 1172.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1188.40 and Rs. 1171.65 respectively. So far 34612 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1277.55 on 10-Aug-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 852.00 on 22-Mar-2023.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1240.00 and Rs. 1161.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 95081.82 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 33.47%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 49.76% and 16.77% respectively.
Cipla has introduced drone-powered deliveries of critical medicines for hospitals and pharmacies in Himachal Pradesh in partnership with Sky Air Mobility. The firm aims to deliver medicines for cardiac, respiratory and other essential chronic therapies as part of the initiative.
The use of drones will support on-time deliveries of the company's medicines to chemists and clinics in remote areas while minimising risks such as delays, temperature excursions affecting cold chain products, and roadside accidents.
