First of all, General Anil Chauhan welcomed the personalities who received the Uttarakhand Gaurav Samman with loud applause. India's second Chief of Defence Staff CDS General Anil Chauhan is a resident of Gawana village in Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. He was born on 18th May 1989. He was awarded Param Vishisht Service Medal Uttam Yudh Service Medal and Ati Vishisht Service Medal Vishisht Service Medal Sena Medal. And in September 2019, he became the general officer commanding in chief of the former command and retired in twenty-one. He took over as CDS on 30th September 2002. As Chief of Defence Staff, he is working towards promoting coordination between the three armies, encouraging joint operations and strengthening India's national security. And after that, Mr. Pritam Bharatwan was invited. Jagger Samrat Pritam Bharvan is a folk singer in Uttarakhand. In 2019, he was awarded the Padma Shri award by the President of India for his contribution in the field of traditional folk art. He is a professor at the University of Cincinnati and the University of Illinois. Bharatwan was born in a village of Raipur in Uttarakhand and started performing folk songs with his uncle at the age of thirteen.
