Capital Small Finance Bank (Capital SFB) has appointed Mr. Conrad D'Souza as an Independent Director on its Board. Mr. D’Souza brings over four decades of experience across banking and financial services with extensive expertise in banking strategy, treasury, investor relations, corporate finance and institution building.

Previously he has spent over 39 years with HDFC Limited, where he was a Member of Executive Management and Chief Investor Relations Officer, and earlier its Treasurer. During his tenure, he was involved in several landmark initiatives, including the HDFC Bank project, the HDFC Limited–HDFC Bank merger and major capital market transactions.

He has also advised and worked with multilateral agencies including USAID, UNDP and IFC across Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe, and has contributed to the development of mortgage finance institutions across multiple markets.

Mr. D'Souza has extensive board experience and currently serves on the boards of Motilal Oswal Financial Services Limited, Chalet Hotels Limited, Bharat Bijlee Limited, Prism Johnson Limited, Asianet Satellite Communications Limited, Camlin Fine Sciences Limited, Niwas Housing Finance Limited, Raheja QBE General Insurance Company Limited and Avendus Finance Limited, among others. He was also an Independent Director on the Board of Nations Trust Bank PLC, Sri Lanka, from 2016 to 2025, and an Advisor to Bandhan Bank from 2024 to 2026.

He holds a Master's Degree in Commerce and a Diploma in Financial Management from the University of Mumbai, and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from South Gujarat University. He is also a graduate of the Senior Executive Programme at London Business School.

As an Independent Director, Mr. D'Souza will contribute to the Bank's governance and strategic oversight, with his experience supporting its continued growth and long-term objectives.
