Canara Bank soars on reporting 62% jump in Q1 consolidated net profit
Canara Bank is currently trading at Rs. 128.35, up by 2.65 points or 2.11% from its previous closing of Rs. 125.70 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 126.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 129.60 and Rs. 125.80 respectively. So far 2147622 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 162.90 on 26-Feb-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 103.50 on 29-Aug-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 131.20 and Rs. 123.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 115696.16 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 62.93%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 24.59% and 12.48% respectively.
Canara Bank has reported a 2.18% rise in its net profit at Rs 4,855.82 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1FY27), as compared to Rs 4,752.03 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of bank increased by 4.26% to Rs 39,684.26 crore for Q1FY27 as compared to Rs 38,063.31 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
On a consolidated basis, the bank has reported a 61.96% jump in its net profit at Rs 4,864.08 crore for Q1FY27, as compared to Rs 3,003.18 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of bank decreased by 4.21% to Rs 39,695.71 crore for Q1FY27 as compared to Rs 41,441.51 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
