BEML surges on securing contract worth Rs 83.51 crore from Ministry of Defence

BEML is currently trading at Rs. 4387.35, up by 24.35 points or 0.56% from its previous closing of Rs. 4363.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 4406.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 4443.00 and Rs. 4385.00 respectively. So far 6092 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 5489.15 on 05-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2,470.00 on 12-Dec-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 4458.00 and Rs. 4225.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 18323.16 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.03%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 24.18% and 21.79% respectively.

BEML has successfully secured a contract from the Ministry of Defence for supplying of a 50-Ton Trailer valued at Rs 83.51 crore. This order highlights BEML's strength and capability in delivering advanced, indigenous products to enhance India’s defence infrastructure.

The 50-Ton heavy-duty Trailer is specifically designed for the transportation of battle tanks and features 12 twin-wheels for durability and stability in challenging terrains. With a payload capacity of 50 tonnes, the Trailer is engineered to be towed by the BEML HMV 8x8 vehicle. Notably, it includes advanced features such as a steerable turntable for 55-degree rotation in both directions, a twin-line air brake system, emergency brakes, and mechanically operated parking brakes. The rear chassis frame is equipped with a combination of fixed, hinged, and loose ramps to ensure the efficient loading of tanks.
