BEML soars on getting nod to invest Rs 1,500 crore for greenfield rail facility in Madhya Pradesh
BEML is currently trading at Rs. 1697.00, up by 81.50 points or 5.04% from its previous closing of Rs. 1615.50 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 1630.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1704.50 and Rs. 1600.40 respectively. So far 25484 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2437.43 on 23-Jun-2025 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1173.18 on 03-Mar-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1860.00 and Rs. 1572.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 14059.18 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.03%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.89% and 22.08% respectively.
BEML has received approval for an estimated investment of around Rs 1,500 crore for greenfield rail manufacturing facility ‘BRAHMA’ at Umariya, near Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The project will be financed by long term debt and is expected to be completed in phase manner in five years. The investment will enhance the company’s manufacturing capabilities. The board of directors of the company, at its meeting held on February 06, 2026, has approved the same.
