BEML jumps on expanding defence manufacturing capabilities with three new units in Bengaluru

BEML is currently trading at Rs. 4531.10, up by 80.05 points or 1.80% from its previous closing of Rs. 4451.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 4517.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 4651.95 and Rs. 4488.65 respectively. So far 56248 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 5489.15 on 05-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2346.35 on 03-Mar-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 4651.95 and Rs. 4330.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 18867.87 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.03%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.94% and 20.02% respectively.

BEML has expanded its manufacturing capabilities with commencement of three next- generation units dedicated to defence production in Bengaluru. The units will support the manufacturing and servicing of Armoured Recovery Vehicles and their advanced variants. The expansion plays a key role in company’s efforts to build a globally competitive ecosystem for defence mobility solutions.

The three units, two measuring 30x140 metres and one 30x100 metres, are equipped with integrated stores and logistics sections to streamline component flow and reduce turnaround time. Designed for smart manufacturing, the facilities will enable high-throughput production, rapid integration and quality-controlled assembly allowing the company to respond swiftly to evolving defence requirements.
