After making 7 appeals, PM Modi leads from the front, reduces convoy size significantly: Sources
In an example of leading from the front, PM Narendra Modi has significantly reduced the size of his convoy during recent domestic visits. The security has been reduced while retaining all essential security arrangements mandated under the SPG protocols, sources said. According to sources, the reduction in the number of vehicles in the PM’s convoy was implemented during his recent visits to Gujarat and Assam. This step was taken immediately after his speech in Hyderabad. PM Modi has also directed officials to include Electric Vehicles (EVs) in his convoy wherever feasible but without making any new purchases. The move comes in line with the Prime Minister's "seven appeals" to citizens to contribute towards economic resilience in the country.
