Zydus Lifesciences surges on acquiring rights to market MonoFerric injections in India, Nepal

Zydus Lifesciences is currently trading at Rs. 378.05, up by 3.75 points or 1.00% from its previous closing of Rs. 374.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 372.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 378.60 and Rs. 372.50 respectively. So far 3047 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 572.90 on 04-Oct-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 319.40 on 11-May-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 379.90 and Rs. 365.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 37886.80 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.88%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 14.88% and 10.24% respectively.

Zydus Lifesciences has acquired rights to market MonoFerric (iron isomaltoside) injections in India and Nepal from Denmark based Pharmacosmos A/S. MonoFerric, iron isomaltoside 1000 solution for injection/infusion, is a rapid, single dose IV iron (up to 20 mg/kg bodyweight) developed to reduce the number of infusions required to achieve iron correction with an excellent safety profile. MonoFerric is indicated for the treatment of iron deficiency in adult patients when oral iron preparations are ineffective or cannot be used or where there is a clinical need to deliver iron rapidly.

MonoFerric is available in over 30 countries including US and Europe and over 28 million doses have been administered since launch.
