Voltas declines on reporting 22% fall in Q4 consolidated net profit

Voltas is currently trading at Rs. 811.75, down by 43.30 points or 5.06% from its previous closing of Rs. 855.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 830.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 847.00 and Rs. 807.85 respectively. So far 173357 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1302.00 on 29-Apr-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 737.60 on 27-Jan-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 870.80 and Rs. 807.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 26909.20 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 30.30%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 53.93% and 15.77% respectively.

Voltas has reported results for fourth quarter (Q4) and year ended March 31, 2023.

Voltas has reported 27.67% fall in its net profit at Rs 156.59 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 216.50 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 10.14% at Rs 2300.32 crore for Q4FY23 as compared to Rs 2559.86 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported fall of 21.61% in its net profit at Rs 143.23 crore for fourth quarter ended March 31, 2023 as compared to Rs 182.71 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 11.08% at Rs 3003.46 crore for Q4FY23 as compared to Rs 2703.78 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2023, the company has reported over 2-fold jump in its net profit at Rs 1405.31 crore as compared to Rs 583.47 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 8.03% at Rs 7850.12 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 7266.49 crore for year ended March 31, 2022.

For the year ended March 31, 2023, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported 73.08% fall in its net profit at Rs 136.22 crore as compared to Rs 506.00 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 19.00% at Rs 9667.22 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 8123.64 crore for year ended March 31, 2022.
