Vodafone Idea gains on buzz of planning to raise Rs 20,000 crore

Vodafone Idea is currently trading at Rs. 9.17, up by 0.03 points or 0.33% from its previous closing of Rs. 9.14 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 9.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 9.25 and Rs. 9.08 respectively. So far 21407690 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 16.79 on 13-Dec-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 4.55 on 05-Aug-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 9.64 and Rs. 8.66 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 29452.98 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.99%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 5.27% and 19.74% respectively.

Vodafone Idea (Vi) is reportedly planning to raise Rs 20,000 crore, including Rs 10,000 crore in equity and remaining as fresh loans from banks, in fresh funding. India's third-largest telecom operator Vi is 'closer than ever' in raising fresh funds.

The telecom operator last year had approved a proposal to raise nearly Rs 25,000 crore of funds as Vodafone promoters have already infused Rs 4,500 crore of fresh equity.
