Veranda Learning Solutions surges on signing MoA with TNSDC

Veranda Learning Solutions is currently trading at Rs. 327.05, up by 1.10 points or 0.34% from its previous closing of Rs. 325.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 328.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 335.80 and Rs. 324.80 respectively. So far 16213 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 379.90 on 13-Sep-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 149.15 on 11-Apr-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 341.95 and Rs. 322.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1818.28 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.87%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 5.37% and 28.75% respectively.

Veranda Learning Solutions has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC) to assist in the implementation of the Naan Mudhalvan scheme, aimed at providing skill development and career guidance to students in government colleges. Through this partnership, Veranda will not only help students across streams acquire industry based skills, and become more job-ready, but will also help expand its own ‘No Student Is Left Behind’ mission.

Since the signing of MoA with the Tamil Nadu government on August 29, Veranda Learning has received 61,101 registrations from students across Tamil Nadu for these free courses under the Naan Mudhalvan scheme. Through this scheme, the Tamil Nadu government aims to upskill 10 lakh youth across the state every year.
