Torrent Power posts Q4 net profit of Rs 414.82 cr
The company reported standalone net profit during the quarter stood at Rs 414.82 crore compared to net loss of Rs 222.18 crore in the previous year quarter. Net revenue of the company rose marginally by 2.17 per cent at Rs 2,994.42 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 2,930.69 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 1.87 per cent to Rs 2,138.52 crore from Rs 2,099.29 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 32.76 per cent at Rs 75.42 crore versus (Mar'20 Rs 56.81 crore).
Operating Profit surged by 2.95 per cent to Rs 855.90 crore as against Rs 831.40 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 0.74 per cent in March quarter. Interest declined by 26.66 per cent y-o-y to Rs 152.76 crore, while Taxation increased by 114.79 per cent at Rs 60.51 crore (Mar'20 Rs -409.07 crore).
