Thirumalai Chem. Q1 net profit down 4.26% at Rs 38.91 cr
The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 38.91 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2022 as compared to Rs 40.64 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 4.26 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 66.62 per cent at Rs 481.68 crore in April-June quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 289.09 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During April-June quarter, operating expenses increased by 86.60 per cent to Rs 422.62 crore from Rs 226.49 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 112.10 per cent at Rs 5.26 crore versus (Jun'21 Rs 2.48 crore). Operating Profit slipped by 5.65 per cent to Rs 59.06 crore as against Rs 62.60 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 43.37 per cent in June quarter. Interest grew by 33.42 per cent y-o-y to Rs 5.35 crore, while Taxation decreased by 2.58 per cent at Rs 13.19 crore (Jun'21 Rs 13.54 crore).
