Tata Power rises as its arm gets LoA worth Rs 596 crore for setting up 125 MWp floating solar project

Tata Power Company is currently trading at Rs. 241.35, up by 0.35 points or 0.15% from its previous closing of Rs. 241.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 236.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 243.15 and Rs. 236.60 respectively. So far 596424 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 298.00 on 07-Apr-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 131.20 on 21-Sep-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 250.00 and Rs. 236.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 77391.12 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 46.86%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.12% and 28.01% respectively.

Tata Power Company’s subsidiary -- Tata Power Solar Systems (TPSSL) has received the Letter of Award (LoA) of Rs 596 crore for setting up a 125 MWp floating solar project from NHDC. The LoA was awarded through tariff-based competitive bidding. The project will be commissioned within 13 months from the date of letter of award and will provide sustainable power to M.P. Power Management Company.

NHDC, had invited bids early this year for this project at the Omkareshwar reservoir in the Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh. It will be one of the India’s largest floating solar power projects.
