Tata Communications Q3 net profit down 7.34% at Rs 208.95 cr
The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 208.95 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2022 as compared to Rs 225.51 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 7.34 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 11.21 per cent at Rs 1,843.54 crore in October-December quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 1,657.70 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During October-December quarter, operating expenses increased by 20.00 per cent to Rs 1,382.32 crore from Rs 1,151.97 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 59.21 per cent at Rs 75.32 crore versus (Dec'21 Rs 47.31 crore). Operating Profit slipped by 8.80 per cent to Rs 461.22 crore as against Rs 505.73 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 17.99 per cent in December quarter. Interest declined by 4.44 per cent y-o-y to Rs 21.31 crore, while Taxation decreased by 7.93 per cent at Rs 69.29 crore (Dec'21 Rs 75.26 crore).
