SpiceJet rises on commencing Gorakhpur-Varanasi flight

SpiceJet is currently trading at Rs. 57.20, up by 0.30 points or 0.53% from its previous closing of Rs. 56.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 57.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 58.70 and Rs. 57.05 respectively. So far 400968 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 87.25 on 24-Nov-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 53.30 on 07-Mar-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 59.95 and Rs. 56.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3445.29 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 59.46%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 1.96% and 38.59% respectively.

SpiceJet has commenced Gorakhpur-Varanasi flight. The SpiceJet Gorakhpur-Varanasi flight, an initiative under the UDAN scheme, was inaugurated on March 27. The 78-seater flight will take around 25 minutes to cover the distance between Gorakhpur and Varanasi.

SpiceJet is among the first private companies that stepped into the Indian aviation sector.
