SpiceJet falls after reporting passenger load factor of 76.6% in January

Spicejet is currently trading at Rs. 86.45, down by 1.75 points or 1.98% from its previous closing of Rs. 88.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 88.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 88.50 and Rs. 86.35 respectively. So far 178621 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 107.95 on 11-Dec-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 30.80 on 25-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 91.60 and Rs. 86.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5240.17 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 59.89%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 8.63% and 31.48% respectively.

SpiceJet has reported the Passenger Load Factor (PLF) of 76.6% during the month of January 2021. The company had reported PLF of 78.0% during the month of December 2020. The PLF is a key indicator of the company’s performance, as it measures the average percentage of seats filled on airline’s aircraft fleet.

SpiceJet is among the first private companies that stepped into the Indian aviation sector.
