SML Isuzu shines on reporting 23% rise in July sales

SML Isuzu is currently trading at Rs. 1120.00, up by 28.20 points or 2.58% from its previous closing of Rs. 1091.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1116.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1125.15 and Rs. 1111.10 respectively. So far 103 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1204.75 on 16-Jun-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 620.20 on 23-Dec-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1125.15 and Rs. 1040.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1580.01 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 43.96%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.11% and 40.93% respectively.

SML Isuzu has sold 1250 vehicles in July 2023 as against 1020 vehicles in July 2022, showing a rise of 23% year-on-year (yoy). Besides, the company has sold 5256 units in April to July 2023 as against 4531 units in April to July 2022, showing a rise of 16%.
Segment-wise, in July 2023, the company's passenger vehicles sales stood at 936 units, up 34% yoy. However, cargo vehicles sales were at 314 units, falling by 2% yoy.

SML Isuzu manufactures a range of vehicles such as trucks, buses and ambulances. The company has launched products like 4WD, Samrat, Sartaj, Dual Cab, Supreme-8 tonner, Truck- Super 12, Super ALFD and many more.
