SML Isuzu catches speed on reporting 59% rise in March sales

SML Isuzu is currently trading at Rs. 834.00, up by 96.90 points or 13.15% from its previous closing of Rs. 737.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 748.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 872.65 and Rs. 748.05 respectively. So far 14774 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 887.80 on 07-Oct-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 495.00 on 20-Jun-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 872.65 and Rs. 658.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1211.42 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 43.96%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 16.69% and 39.35% respectively.

SML Isuzu has sold 2169 vehicles in March 2023 as against 1363 vehicles in March 2022, showing a rise of 59% year-on-year (yoy). Besides, the company has sold 12442 units in April to March 2023 as against 7392 units in April to March 2022, showing a rise of 68%.

Segment-wise, in March 2023, the company's passenger vehicles sales stood at 1778 units, up 167% yoy. However, cargo vehicles sales were at 391 units, falling by 44% yoy.

SML Isuzu manufactures a range of vehicles such as trucks, buses and ambulances. The company has launched products like 4WD, Samrat, Sartaj, Dual Cab, Supreme-8 tonner, Truck- Super 12, Super ALFD and many more.
