Ruchi Soya Industries Q4 net profit down 25.42% at Rs 234.43 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 234.43 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2022 as compared to Rs 314.33 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 25.42 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 37.72 per cent at Rs 6,663.72 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 4,838.51 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 36.36 per cent to Rs 6,257.65 crore from Rs 4,588.91 crore in year ago period. Other Income dipped by 40.62 per cent at Rs 12.47 crore versus (Mar'21 Rs 21.00 crore). Operating Profit surged by 62.69 per cent to Rs 406.08 crore as against Rs 249.60 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 18.02 per cent in March quarter. Interest declined by 4.56 per cent y-o-y to Rs 85.65 crore, while Taxation increased by 136.82 per cent at Rs 61.26 crore (Mar'21 Rs -166.37 crore).
