Reliance Power surges on signing documents with Varde Partners to raise debt of Rs 1000 crore

Reliance Power is currently trading at Rs. 16.70, up by 0.25 points or 1.52% from its previous closing of Rs. 16.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 16.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 16.90 and Rs. 16.10 respectively. So far 516645 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'T' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 24.95 on 06-Sep-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 10.98 on 20-Jun-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 18.15 and Rs. 16.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5644.21 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 24.98%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 11.30% and 63.73% respectively.
   
Reliance Power (RPL) and its subsidiaries have signed definitive documents with Varde Partners to raise debt of about Rs 1000 crore. The transaction is subject to satisfaction of conditions precedent as identified in the definitive documents. The proceeds will be utilized to settle and discharge / restructure existing debts; thereby achieve debt resolution and enhance credit profile.
