Reliance Industries gains on reporting marginal rise in Q2 consolidated net profit

Reliance Industries is currently trading at Rs. 2487.45, up by 7.75 points or 0.31% from its previous closing of Rs. 2479.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2498.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2498.15 and Rs. 2478.65 respectively. So far 2527663 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2855.00 on 29-Apr-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2181.00 on 08-Mar-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2527.00 and Rs. 2441.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1678609.28 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.62%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 38.74% and 10.64% respectively.

Reliance Industries has reported a fall of 25.07% in its net profit at Rs 6,915 crore for second quarter ended September 30, 2022 as compared to Rs 9,228 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 34.06% at Rs 143,693 crore for Q2FY23 as compared Rs 107,187 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported marginal rise of 0.21% in its net profit at Rs 15,512 crore for second quarter ended September 30, 2022 as compared to Rs 15,479 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 32.55% at Rs 236,377 crore for Q2FY23 as compared Rs 178,328 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
