Rail Vikas Nigam surges on reporting 36% rise in Q2 consolidated net profit

Rail Vikas Nigam is currently trading at Rs. 50.30, up by 1.15 points or 2.34% from its previous closing of Rs. 49.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 52.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 52.25 and Rs. 49.35 respectively. So far 1597564 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 54.20 on 07-Nov-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 29.00 on 21-Jun-2022.

Rail Vikas Nigam reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2022.

The company has reported rise of 34.46% in its net profit at Rs 298.58 crore for Q2FY23 as compared to Rs 222.06 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year. Total income of the company increased by 21.63% to Rs 5,126.59 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 4,214.86 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported rise of 36.52% in its net profit at Rs 381.22 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 279.24 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 21.72% to Rs 5,130.83 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 4,215.21 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.
