Mr. Cyrus Mody, Managing Partner, Viceroy Properties LLP on the increasing number of Women Home Buyers in Residential Real Estate says,"The Indian residential real estate industry is moving at a faster pace than expected. While it is adapting to new demand trends in terms of size, amenities, etc., it is also witnessing increasing interest in home ownership and investment from women. Working women have risen to the forefront as homebuyers and investors, recognising the long-term benefits and security of real estate ownership.”
He further adds, “According to Anarock, 62 percent of women chose real estate as their preferred investment asset class over equities, fixed deposits, and gold. 38% of homebuyers at our project; Viceroy Savana are women in leadership roles. This demonstrates a narrowing of the wage disparity between men and women which seems to be enabling more women to invest in real estate.”
