Indian benchmark indices are expected to start the day in green on Thursday after falling for two days in a row.
On the result front, Ambuja Cements, Enkei Wheels, RCL Retail, Rollatainers and Twinstar Industries are scheduled to announce their quarterly earnings today.
Shares of companies like Dixon Technologies and Sterling Technologies will be in focus today after the government launched the PLI scheme for telecommunications and networking products.
On Wednesday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 51703.83 down by -400.34 points or by -0.77 % and then NSE Nifty was at 15208.9 down by -104.55 points or by -0.68 %.
On the global front, the Nasdaq closed lower while the S&P 500 was little changed on Wednesday as investors rotated out of technology shares and concerns about inflation added some pressure on stocks.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 91.65 points, or 0.29%, to 31,614.4, the S&P 500 lost 1.16 points, or 0.03%, to 3,931.43 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 82.00 points, or 0.58%, to 13,965.50.
Asian markets were also mixed early Thursday. Australia’s benchmark ASX 200 index and Japan's Nikkei were up 0.25 per cent, each, in early trading, while the Hang Seng index and Korea's Kospi fell 0.7 per cent, each.

The FIIs on 17/02/2021 stood as net buyer in equity and debt. Gross equity purchased stood at Rs. 7784.01 Crore and gross debt purchased stood at Rs. 725.30 Crore, while the gross equity sold stood at Rs. 5571.89 Crore and gross debt sold stood at Rs. 1595.69 Crore. Therefore, the net investment of equity and debt reported were Rs. 2212.12 Crore and Rs. -870.39
