* The BSE Sensex ended at 58,117.09 down by 166.33 points or 0.29% after trading in a range of 58,322.42 and 57,803.87. There were 17 stocks advancing and 13 stocks declining on the index.

* The broader indices ended in red and green respectively; the BSE Mid cap index down by 0.37%, and Small cap index was up by 0.05%.

* The top gaining sectoral indices on the BSE were, Utilities was up by 1.16%, Capital Goods was up by 0.59%, and Oil & Gas was up by 0.71%, while, FMCG was down by 0.60%, Energy was down by 0.71%, Realty was down by 0.06%, and Telecom was down by 1.37%, were top lossing indices were on BSE.

* There were Power Grid was up by 3.84%, Dr. Reddy was up by 1.05%, Nestle India was up by 1.03%, AXIS Bank was up by 0.94%, and ICICI Bank was up by 0.65%, the top gainers were on the Sensex.

* There were ITC was down by 2.73%, Bajaj Finance was down by 2.10%, Kotak Bank was down by 1.75%, Bharti Airtel was down by 1.60%, and Reliance was down by 1.22%, the top losers were on the Sensex.

* The CNX Nifty ended at 17,324.90 down by 43.35 points or 0.25% after trading in a range of 17,376.20 and 17,225.80. There were 27 stocks advancing and 23 stocks declining.
