* The BSE Sensex ended at 55,629.49 down by 162.78 points or 0.29% after trading in a range of 56,118.57 and 55,514.89. There were 9 stocks advancing and 21 stocks declining on the index.
* The broader indices ended in green and red respectively; the BSE Mid cap index up by 0.26%, and Small cap index was down by 0.18%.
* The top gaining sectoral indices on the BSE were, Energy was up by 0.30%, Oil & Gas was up by 0.24%, and FMCG was up by 0.24%, while, Utilities was down by 0.20%, Realty was down by 0.67%, Telecom was down by 0.05%, and Capital Goods was down by 0.03%, were top lossing indices were on BSE.
* There were UltraTech Cement was up by 2.46%, Bajaj Finance was up by 2.12%, Bajaj Finserv was up by 1.78%, Nestle India was up by 0.91%, and Bajaj Auto was up by 0.89%, the top gainers were on the Sensex.
* There were Kotak Bank was down by 2.09%, ICICI Bank was down by 1.80%, Power Grid was down by 1.42%, Indusind Bank was down by 1.11%, and HDFC was down by 1.06%, the top losers were on the Sensex.
* The CNX Nifty ended at 16,568.85 up by 45.75 points or 0.28% after trading in a range of 16,701.85 and 16,535.85. There were 20 stocks advancing and 30 stocks declining.
