* The BSE Sensex ended at 52,925.04 up by 226.04 points or 0.43% after trading in a range of 52,973.07 and 52,614.49. There were 19 stocks advancing and 11 stocks declining on the index.

* The broader indices ended in green; the BSE Mid cap index up by 1.03%, and Small cap index was up by 0.40%.

* The top gaining sectoral indices on the BSE were, Capital Goods was up by 1.22%, Telecom was up by 1.24%, and Realty was up by 0.41%, while, Oil & Gas was down by 1.04%, Utilities was down by 1.04%, Energy was down by 1.78%, and FMCG was down by 0.49%, were top lossing indices were on BSE.

* There were TATA Steel was up by 4.65%, AXIS Bank was up by 3.02%, SBIN was up by 2.79%, ICICI Bank was up by 2.34%, and Maruti was up by 1.52%, the top gainers were on the Sensex.

* There were Reliance was down by 2.28%, NTPC was down by 1.69%, Hindustan Unilever was down by 1.67%, Titan was down by 1.35% and Asian Paint was down by 1.30%, the top losers were on the Sensex.

* The CNX Nifty ended at 15,856.35 up by 65.90 points or 0.42% after trading in a range of 15,870.80 and 15,772.30. There were 34 stocks advancing and 16 stocks declining.
