* The BSE Sensex ended at 51,348.77 up by 617.14 points or 1.22% after trading in a range of 51,523.38 and 51,146.67. There were 24 stocks advancing and 6 stocks declining on the index.

* The broader indices ended in green; the BSE Mid cap index up by 1.50%, and Small cap index was up by 1.53%.

* The top gaining sectoral indices on the BSE were, Realty was up by 1.99%, Oil & Gas was up by 1.59%, Auto was up by 3.07%, Energy was up by 1.51%, Capital Goods was up by 1.82%, Utilities was up by 2.11%, and Telecom was up by 2.19%, while, FMCG was down by 0.53%, top lossing indices were on BSE.

* There were Mahindra & Mahindra was up by 7.23%, Bajaj Finserv was up by 3.24%, Bharti Airtel was up by 2.77%, Power Grid was up by 2.61%, and TATA Steel was up by 2.59%, the top gainers were on the Sensex.

* There were Hindustan Unilever was down by 1.43%, Kotak Bank was down by 1.32%, Bajaj Finance was down by 0.70%, ITC was down by 0.49%, and Bajaj Auto was down by 0.22%, the top losers were on the Sensex.

* The CNX Nifty ended at 15,115.80 up by 191.55 points or 1.28% after trading in a range of 15,159.90 and 15,041.05. There were 40 stocks advancing against 10 stocks declining.
