Poddar Pigments jumps on starting commercial production at manufacturing facility in Rajasthan
Poddar Pigments is currently trading at Rs. 317.20, up by 33.75 points or 11.91% from its previous closing of Rs. 283.45 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 289.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 324.00 and Rs. 289.20 respectively. So far 14922 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 434.00 on 26-Jul-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 178.25 on 31-Mar-2021.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 324.00 and Rs. 273.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 336.34 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 62.43%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 1.25% and 36.33% respectively.
Poddar Pigments has commenced commercial production at the newly set-up manufacturing facility situated at Brijpura, (Chaksu), Jaipur, Rajasthan from March 23, 2022.
The unit has been set up to manufacture Additive & Colour Masterbatches and Engineering Plastic Compounds and the total installed capacity will get enhanced from 14400 MTPA to 18000 MTPA for the company. However, it depends upon a particular product mix and may vary with changes in the product mix.
Poddar Pigments is the first company in India to manufacture fibre-grade masterbatches for spin-colouration of filament yarns/fibres of polypropylene polyester and nylon.
