PVR INOX gains on opening new 12-screen superplex in Bengaluru
PVR Inox is currently trading at Rs. 1454.00, up by 5.70 points or 0.60% from its previous closing of Rs. 1448.30 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 1449.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1462.10 and Rs. 1445.00 respectively. So far 1911 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2211.55 on 04-Aug-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1336.50 on 17-May-2023.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1462.95 and Rs. 1400.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 14189.98 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 27.61%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 59.98% and 12.41% respectively.
PVR INOX has opened its 12-screen Superplex featuring the first ICE theatres format in South India at Forum Mall, Kanakapura Road, Bengaluru. The new property sets a new benchmark in entertainment in the city with multiple cinema formats including LUXE, 4DX, P[XL] and ICE.
The new cinema will augment PVR INOX foothold in Bengaluru with 158 screens in 25 cinemas and in the state of Karnataka with 201 screens in 35 cinemas. The company consolidates its presence in South India to a total of 542 screens in 96 properties. Strategically located in the heart of South Bangalore at Konanakunte cross, Kanakapura Road, the property has a seating capacity of 2192 audiences.
PVR completed the merger of INOX Leisure Limited, effective February 06, 2023. The merged entity is the largest film exhibition company in India.
