Oil and gas stocks jump as Oil Minister says India increasing domestic oil and gas exploration
Stocks related to the oil and gas industry were trading higher, as Oil Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has said that India, the world's third largest energy consumer, is increasing domestic oil and gas exploration, diversifying import basket, switching to alternate sources and using gas and green hydrogen as a pathway to energy transition and security. He said India is projected to contribute fourth of the world's energy demand growth in next couple of decades.
GAIL (India) is currently trading at Rs. 102.05, up by 3.05 points or 3.08% from its previous closing of Rs. 99.00 on the BSE.
Oil India is currently trading at Rs. 239.25, up by 3.90 points or 1.66% from its previous closing of Rs. 235.35 on the BSE.
Oil & Natural Gas Corporation is currently trading at Rs. 152.60, up by 0.95 points or 0.63% from its previous closing of Rs. 151.65 on the BSE.
