ONGC gains on buzz of entering into MoU with Chevron New Ventures

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation is currently trading at Rs. 133.45, up by 3.00 points or 2.30% from its previous closing of Rs. 130.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 131.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 133.50 and Rs. 131.00 respectively. So far 366052 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 194.60 on 08-Mar-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 119.80 on 06-Jul-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 134.35 and Rs. 129.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 167695.12 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 58.89%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 27.80% and 13.31% respectively.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has reportedly entered into Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Chevron New Ventures PTE, subsidiary of Chevron Corporation. The agreement is to assess exploration potential in India.

ONGC is India’s largest government-run corporation and produces about 70% of India’s crude oil and natural gas. The corporation is the biggest public sector commercial organization in India.
