HIGHLIGHTS:

Nifty futures closed at 15817 on a positive note with 11.45% decrease in the open interest indicating Short Covering. Nifty Futures closed at a discount of -12 points compared to the previous day premium of 5 points. BankNifty closed at 34725 on positive note with 12.61 % decrease in open interest indicating Short Covering. BankNifty Futures closed at a discount of -24 points compared to the previous day discount of -20 points.

FII's were Buyers in Index Futures to the tune of 1152 crores and were Sellers in Index Options to the tune of 4439 crores, Buyers in the Stock Futures to the tune of 1497 crores. Net Sellers in the derivative segment to the tune of 1407 crores.

India VIX index is at 11.77 v/s 13.30.Nifty ATM call option IV is currently 7.96 whereas Nifty ATM put option IV is quoting at 11.56.
