NMDC Q4 net profit down 36.04% at Rs 1815.05 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 1,815.05 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2022 as compared to Rs 2837.58 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 36.04 per cent. Net revenue of the company declined marginally by 2.12 per cent at Rs 6,702.24 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 6,847.57 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 54.22 per cent to Rs 4,017.89 crore from Rs 2,605.32 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 291.33 per cent at Rs 332.55 crore versus (Mar'21 Rs 84.98 crore). Operating Profit slipped by 36.72 per cent to Rs 2,684.35 crore as against Rs 4,242.25 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 35.35 per cent in March quarter. Interest grew by 508.96 per cent y-o-y to Rs 25.15 crore, while Taxation decreased by 25.55 per cent at Rs 1,065.01 crore (Mar'21 Rs 1,430.57 crore).
