The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 50.23 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2022 as compared to Rs 227.86 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 77.96 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 42.70 per cent at Rs 1,315.29 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 921.71 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 10.69 per cent to Rs 1,238.99 crore from Rs 1,119.35 crore in year ago period. Other Income dipped by 99.36 per cent at Rs 4.09 crore versus (Mar'21 Rs 635.82 crore). Operating Profit surged by 142.22 per cent to Rs 80.62 crore as against Rs -190.96 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 129.58 per cent in March quarter. Interest declined by 32.36 per cent y-o-y to Rs 37.39 crore, while Taxation decreased by 109.38 per cent at Rs -14.01 crore (Mar'21 Rs 149.38 crore).
