Metropolis Healthcare Q4 net profit down 33.08% at Rs 63.11 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 63.11 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2022 as compared to Rs 94.30 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 33.08 per cent. Net revenue of the company declined moderately by 8.55 per cent at Rs 217.99 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 238.36 crore in the corresponding period last year. During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 9.11 per cent to Rs 172.28 crore from Rs 157.90 crore in year ago period.
Other Income grew by 5.73 per cent at Rs 44.49 crore versus (Mar'21 Rs 42.08 crore). Operating Profit slipped by 43.18 per cent to Rs 45.72 crore as against Rs 80.46 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 37.87 per cent in March quarter. Interest grew by 172.59 per cent y-o-y to Rs 5.37 crore, while Taxation decreased by 35.26 per cent at Rs 9.77 crore (Mar'21 Rs 15.09 crore).
