Mahindra & Mahindra posts Q4 net profit of Rs 48.44 cr
The company reported standalone net profit during the quarter stood at Rs 48.44 crore compared to net loss of Rs 2502.42 crore in the previous year quarter. Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 47.78 per cent at Rs 13,512.44 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 9,143.72 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 46.38 per cent to Rs 11,723.12 crore from Rs 8,008.90 crore in year ago period. Other Income dipped by 58.38 per cent at Rs 130.99 crore versus (Mar'20 Rs 314.71 crore).
Operating Profit surged by 57.67 per cent to Rs 1,789.32 crore as against Rs 1,134.82 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 6.69 per cent in March quarter. Interest grew by 184.31 per cent y-o-y to Rs 95.16 crore, while Taxation decreased by 40.24 per cent at Rs 331.32 crore (Mar'20 Rs 554.39 crore).
