Mahanagar Gas trades higher on the BSE

Mahanagar Gas is currently trading at Rs. 802.60, up by 9.10 points or 1.15% from its previous closing of Rs. 793.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 790.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 808.15 and Rs. 783.25 respectively. So far 35871 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1284.45 on 17-Jun-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 781.20 on 09-Feb-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 849.90 and Rs. 781.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7924.94 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 32.50%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 54.37% and 13.13% respectively.

Mahanagar Gas has reported 73.85% fall in its net profit at Rs 56.79 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 217.21 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 53.09% at Rs 1,144.72 crore for Q3FY22 as compared Rs 747.72 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

Mahanagar Gas is in the business of City Gas Distribution (CGD), supplying natural gas in the city of Mumbai including its adjoining areas and the Raigad district, in the State of Maharashtra, India.
