MOIL surges on registering 71% growth in manganese ore production in July

MOIL is currently trading at Rs. 190.55, up by 6.30 points or 3.42% from its previous closing of Rs. 184.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 187.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 191.35 and Rs. 186.55 respectively. So far 28537 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 197.35 on 13-Jul-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 140.65 on 29-Mar-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 194.60 and Rs. 182.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3806.19 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 64.68%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 18.49% and 16.83% respectively.

MOIL has achieved best manganese ore production of 1.20 lakh tonnes in July 2023, registering a remarkable growth of 71 percent over corresponding period last year (CPLY). On sales front also, the company has achieved best-ever July sales of 0.94 lakh tonnes in July 2023, registering an impressive growth of 69% over CPLY. 

MOIL is the largest iron ore company in India and fifth largest in world. It currently operates seven underground mines (Kandri, Munsar, Beldongri, Gumgaon, Chikla, Balaghat and Ukwa mines) and three opencast mines (Dongri Buzurg, Sitapatore/Sukli, and Tirodi).
