Lupin Q4 net profit jumps 40.42% at Rs 316.36 cr
The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 316.36 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 225.29 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 40.42 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose marginally by 3.15 per cent at Rs 2,515.96 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 2,439.12 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses dropped by 7.01 per cent to Rs 2,090.91 crore from Rs 2,248.47 crore in year ago period. Other Income dipped by 68.52 per cent at Rs 66.07 crore versus (Mar'20 Rs 209.91 crore).
Operating Profit surged by 80.56 per cent to Rs 425.05 crore as against Rs 235.41 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 75.03 per cent in March quarter. Interest grew by 8.17 per cent y-o-y to Rs 12.31 crore, while Taxation decreased by 55.36 per cent at Rs 37.44 crore (Mar'20 Rs 83.87 crore).
