L&T zooms on securing one more package in Chennai Metro Rail Projects

Larsen & Toubro is currently trading at Rs. 1655.10, up by 54.70 points or 3.42% from its previous closing of Rs. 1600.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1604.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1656.90 and Rs. 1604.10 respectively. So far 50838 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2078.20 on 18-Jan-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1448.00 on 21-Jun-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1660.00 and Rs. 1536.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 231877.06 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions holding in the company stood at 56.14% and 43.86% respectively.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured one more package in the Chennai Metro Rail Projects. L&T has been awarded Package C3 (CP08 EV01) of Phase-II Chennai Metro Rail Projects (CMRL).

The scope of CP08 EV01 package involves the construction of an elevated viaduct of approximately 10 km including an elevated ramp and ten elevated metro stations at Nehru Nagar, Kandanchavadi, Perungudi, Thoraipakkam, Mettukuppam, PTC colony, Okkiyampet, Karapakkam, Okkiyam Thoraipakkam and Sholinganallur. This elevated metro rail package is to be constructed in 35 months.

L&T is already executing four packages of CMRL Phase II of which one is underground and the other three are elevated packages. L&T had earlier executed Metro Rail Projects for CMRL in Phase I.
