L&T gains on reporting 9% rise in Q4 consolidated net profit

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is currently trading at Rs. 1531.70, up by 7.35 points or 0.48% from its previous closing of Rs. 1524.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1546.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1575.30 and Rs. 1502.30 respectively. So far 101584 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2078.20 on 18-Jan-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1368.50 on 17-May-2021.

The company has reported a rise of 19.97% in its net profit from continuing operations & discontinued operations at Rs 2,901.15 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 2,418.15 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 9% at Rs 38,142.02 crore for Q4FY22 as compared Rs 34,993.94 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a rise of 9.45% in its net profit at Rs 4,006.66 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 3,660.65 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 8.65% at Rs 53,366.26 crore for Q4FY22 as compared Rs 49,116.16 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2022, the company has reported a fall of 33.21% in its net profit from continuing operations & discontinued operations at Rs 7,879.45 crore as compared to Rs 11,797.79 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 15.45% at Rs 104,613.06 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 90,615.77 crore for year ended March 31, 2021.

For the year ended March 31, 2022, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported a rise of 23.94% in its net profit at Rs 10,194.12 crore as compared to Rs 8,224.98 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 13.90% at Rs 158,788.31 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 139,408.38 crore for year ended March 31, 2021.
