Titan Q3 net zooms 91% to Rs 1,004 cr, revenue up 37% on robust demand
Titan saw its December quarter (Q3) net profit zoom 91 per cent to Rs 1,004 crore compared to the year-ago period, even as revenue from operations rose 37 per cent to Rs 9,903 crore riding on strong consumer demand in the same period.
With the jewellery division doing well, and other divisions also witnessing growth over pre-pandemic levels, the total income for the quarter was Rs 9,570 crore, including bullion sale of Rs 54 crore, a growth of 31 per cent compared to total income of Rs 7,324 crore in Q3 of FY21 that included bullion sale of Rs 340 crore. The total income for nine months FY22 was Rs 20,104 crore, registering a growth of 48 per cent compared to Rs 13,614 crore in the same period of FY21.
Tata Power to set up EV charging stations at vehicle zones of Apollo Tyres
Tata Power has partnered with Apollo Tyres to deploy electric vehicle charging stations at the latter's commercial and passenger vehicle zones across India. Tata Power and Apollo Tyres have announced a strategic partnership in this regard, a statement said. Tata Power has a presence across all the segments of the EV charging ecosystem and has deployed all types of chargers DC 001, AC, Type2, Fast DC chargers up to 50kwh and up to 240kwh chargers for buses.
DLF eyes Rs 47,000 cr revenue from 35 mn sq ft new projects in medium term
Realty major DLF Ltd has revised upwards its sales revenue potential by 17 per cent to Rs 47,000 crore from 35 million square feet of planned new launches of housing and commercial projects in the medium term. In an analyst presentation, DLF mentioned that it has planned the launch of 35 million square feet project in the medium term.
TCS to expand ops in New Jersey, hire 1K additional employees by 2023- end
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced plans to expand its operations in New Jersey by hiring nearly 1,000 additional employees by the end of 2023 to meet the growing needs of customers to digitally transform their businesses. To nurture a pipeline of local IT talent for the state, TCS will also grow the reach of its STEM and computer science education programs in New Jersey by 25 per cent, expanding teacher training and student programs.
TCS’ Edison Business Center, one of 30 TCS facilities in the US, serves more than 100 customers in New Jersey. TCS has more than 3,700 employees in the state who provide IT and consulting services across industries, harnessing technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, and enterprise software.
Zydus Q3 net down 5% to Rs 500 cr as sales dip in US and domestic markets
A dip in both the US and India sales has led to Cadila Healthcare Limited (Zydus Cadila) posting a five per cent fall in its consolidated net profit on a year-on-year (YoY) basis for the quarter ended December 31, 2021. As compared to Rs 527.2 crore in Q3 of previous financial year 2020-21, the net profit stood at Rs 500.4 crore in the said quarter of current fiscal 2021-22. Revenue from operations was up by a marginal one per cent at Rs 3,655 crore in Q3 of FY22 as against Rs 3,591.5 crore in Q3 of FY21.
