TCS bags deal from Aadhar Housing Finance to improve business operations
India's largest software firm TCS has bagged a deal to drive business process transformation at Aadhar Housing Finance for an undisclosed sum, the companies said on Wednesday. The domestic housing financier will be deploying the Tata group company's lending and securitisation platform for market expansion, according to a statement. The partnership with TCS is for an end-to-end business process transformation using the integrated and collaborative blockchain-based cloud platform.
ED attaches Rs 26.93 cr assets of EMTA Coal Ltd, its directors and partner
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached immovable and movable assets valued at Rs 26.93 crore belonging to EMTA Coal Ltd and its partners and Directors in a coal block case. The attached property is in the form of Bank Account Balances, Fixed Deposit Balances and Mutual Fund holdings. These properties belong to EMTA Coal Ltd and its partners and Directors -- Ujjal Kumar Upadhaya, Sangeeta Upadhaya, Sujit Kumar Upadhaya-- and their family members under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.
CBI books Kapil, Dheeraj Wadhawan of DHFL in Rs 34,615-cr bank fraud case
The CBI has booked Dewan Housing Finance Ltd, its former CMD Kapil Wadhawan, director Dheeraj Wadhawan and others in a fresh case involving Rs 34,615 crore, making it the biggest bank fraud probed by the agency, officials said Wednesday. Following the registration of case, a team of over 50 officials from the agency carried out coordinated searches in Mumbai at 12 locations belonging to listed accused in the FIR which also includes Sudhakar Shetty of Amaryllis Realtors and eight other builders.
Delhivery set to expand infra footprint in Greater Mumbai, Bengaluru
Logistics services firm Delhivery, said it plans to expand its infrastructure in the two key cities of Bhiwandi (Greater Mumbai) and Bengaluru. Delhivery is collaborating with Welspun on a 700,000 sq ft mega-gateway in Greater Mumbai and with GMR for a one million-plus sq ft facility in Bengaluru, which will also include a warehouse for multi-channel order fulfilment for Delhivery’s customers. These fully-automated large integrated trucking terminals will be operational by 2023 and will increase Delhivery's processing capacity to meet the customer demand from the South and West.
BPCL halves crude runs at Mumbai refinery; plans repairs at other plants
Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL) has shut half of its crude processing capacity at its 240,000 barrels per day (bpd) Mumbai refinery in western India since June 10 to carry out maintenance, a company spokesman said. The state-run refiner has shut a 120,000 bpd crude unit and some secondary units including diesel hydro desulfuriser and hydrogen generation units for 20 to 25 days, the spokesman said. Other units are functioning as normal, he said.
No purchase of coal from Russia after April 20 announcement: Tata Steel
Tata Steel has not made any purchase of PCI coal from Russia post its April announcement of severing business ties with Russia amid the ongoing conflict with Ukraine, a company spokesperson said on Wednesday. On April 20, Tata Steel had said it would stop doing business with Russia. To ensure business continuity, all its steel manufacturing sites in India, the UK and the Netherlands have sourced alternative supplies of raw materials to end its dependence on Russia.
