IndiGo says specially abled child was 'in panic', didn't board flight

IndiGo barred a specially-abled child from boarding a flight at the Ranchi airport as he was in "a state of panic", following which the aviation regulator DGCA has started a probe and asked the airline to submit a report, officials said on Sunday. As the boy was prohibited from boarding the airline's Ranchi-Hyderabad flight on Saturday, his parents also decided to not take the flight, they noted

 

Vedanta offers Zambia investment commitments if handed back firm: Report

Vedanta Resources has offered to step up investment in Zambia's Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) and implement several social responsibility programmes if it resumes control of the local firm, a company letter sent to the government showed.

Zambia's previous government put KCM into the hands of liquidator Milingo Lungu in May 2019, triggering an ongoing legal dispute with Vedanta Resources, KCM's parent company.

 

RIL sees gas prices rising in Oct; says revenue grew 3.5 times in FY21-22

Reliance Industries Ltd expects prices of natural gas in India to rise again in October as its gas exploration business reaps the rewards of a global surge in energy prices that have already pushed the rates to a record high.

The conglomerate, controlled by billionaire Mukesh Ambani, expects the price cap for its KG-D6 gas sales to rise over the current USD 9.92 per million British thermal units, Sanjay Roy, senior vice-president for exploration and production, said in an investor call following the announcement of its quarterly earnings on Friday.

 

Home ministry grants clearance to Jet Airways after successful test flight

Union home ministry has granted security clearance to Jet Airways that is planning to relaunch commercial flight operations in the next few months, according to an official document

The Jalan-Kalrock Consortium is currently the promoters of Jet Airways. The airline in its old avatar was owned by Naresh Goyal and had operated its last flight on April 17, 2019.

Last Thursday, the airline conducted its test flight to and from the Hyderabad airport in a step towards obtaining the air operator certificate.

 

WeWork India eyes 33% revenue growth in CY22 at Rs 1,000 cr on demand spike

Coworking major WeWork India is expecting 33 per cent growth in revenue during this calendar year at around Rs 1,000 crore, on the back of rising demand for flexible workspaces. In an interview with PTI, WeWork India Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Karan Virwani highlighted that the company has become profitable for the first time during January-March 2022, with a profit of Rs 25 crore at EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) level.
